Our History Helps Us Grow
Northern Electric Incorporated, founded in 2006 as a small residential electrical company in Aroostook County, Maine, expanded in 2012 by acquiring Fire & Ice, becoming NEI Mechanical-Electrical. This merger added HVAC services to its electrical offerings, enabling NEI to enter the commercial and industrial markets.
To support its growth, NEI established a southern Maine branch in 2018, serving a broader clientele while maintaining its mission of treating customers like family. NEI remains a proud family-owned and operated business.
